Relocation Design

The process starts with a $600 Design Strategy Session, where Karen explores your vision, needs, and investment plan via video call. You'll receive a recap and proposal to kickstart your project.

In-person meetings are available if you're here locally at that time. The session fee applies toward your total design fee when you move forward.

Our review starts with an in home walkthrough, in person or via FaceTime. Karen coordinates with all parties to schedule her in-home walkthrough, takes photos and measurements, and gathers key details.

For remodels, we can refer a contractor to join the walkthrough and provide a proposal to you.

After the walkthrough, you'll receive a recap with photos, initial ideas, an estimated budget, and a formal agreement to review.

Once signed, a follow-up video call will dive into design ideas, using home photos and inspiration. This step ensures we are setting the foundation for designing a home that perfectly reflects your style and needs.

Once the agreement is signed and the deposit received, Karen refines your style, develops furniture layouts, and shares rendered floor plans for approval - setting the stage for your custom design.

Design concepts are presented at Karen's Houston trade source center, where you'll review fabrics, drawings, samples, and budget details. You will need to be in Houston for this meeting, all decision-makers should attend.

You’ll take home samples, with any updates sent within two business days. A follow-up at your home finalizes furniture details for timely ordering, as custom pieces take 3–4 months.

This phase of our process ensures every carefully chosen piece is ordered for your home. With all selections approved and orders placed, you can relax knowing everything is expertly managed for a seamless and timely installation.

All necessary tradespeople will be coordinated, and updates will be provided on the furniture's arrival at the warehouse during this phase.

Installation is scheduled once all construction work is done and furniture has arrived. On installation day, we place furniture, window coverings, artwork, and rugs, ensuring all construction work is completed beforehand. While we strive to finish in one day, delays may occur due to furniture availability or scheduling.

After the main furnishings have arrived, a separate styling appointment is scheduled to add the finishing touches. Existing accessories will be incorporated, and any additional pieces will be sourced and styled in your home for a complete transformation.

A final walkthrough is scheduled to address any remaining questions or needs, ensuring every detail is complete and the transformation meets expectations.
